Alright, so I wanted to mess around with Lighthouse in Escape from Tarkov. Specifically, I wanted to check out the new areas added in the recent revision. Here’s how my little adventure went down.
Gettin’ Started
First things first, I launched the game. You know the drill, waiting for the loading screen, checking my gear, making sure I had enough meds and ammo. I’m not trying to get caught out there unprepared. Once I was in, I selected Lighthouse as my map.

Exploring the Changes
My main goal was to explore the expanded areas.I’d seen some videos online, but I wanted to experience it firsthand. I spawned in, and immediately started moving towards the areas I was interested in. It was kind of tense, you know? Always listening for footsteps, checking corners. Lighthouse can be a real deathtrap if you’re not careful.
- I spent some time checking out the new buildings.
- I was constantly scanning for other players and Scavs.
- I really focused on learning the layouts, looking for good loot spots and potential ambush points.
I didn’t want to get too bogged down in firefights, so I tried to stay sneaky. I found some decent loot, nothing too crazy, but enough to make it worth my while.
The Real Fun Begins
Of course, it wouldn’t be Tarkov without some action. I ran into a couple of other players, and we had a few tense exchanges. I managed to take down one, but the other one got the drop on me. Classic Tarkov, right? You win some, you lose some.
Wrapping Up
Even though I died, I still consider it a successful run. I got to see the new areas, learned a bit more about the map, and had a few exciting moments. I’ll definitely be back to explore some more, and maybe next time I’ll even make it out alive. That’s the beauty of Tarkov, there’s always something new to learn, and always a challenge waiting for you.
