Alright, folks, let’s dive into something I messed around with today in Infinity Craft – making fog. I’ve seen some cool builds with it, and I wanted to figure it out myself. It’s not super obvious, so here’s how I did it, step by step.
Getting Started: What You Need
First things first, you gotta gather some basic stuff. You know, the usual crafting routine.

- Water: Lots of it. I filled up a bunch of buckets. I mean, a LOT.
- Lava: Same deal as the water. Buckets and buckets.
- A Big Space: You’ll need room to work, so clear out an area. I just picked a flat spot in a biome I didn’t care too much about.
Making the Obsidian
Okay, so the first real step is creating obsidian. This is the key, and it’s pretty simple, but it can get messy. I learned that the hard way!
I started by digging a big, shallow pit. Think of it like making a giant, empty swimming pool. Then, I poured in a layer of lava. Just dumped it right in. After that, I poured water over the lava. And poof, you get obsidian. Make a decent sized layer of this because you’ll be using it a lot.
Building Upwards
Now, this is where it gets a little tricky. I took the obsidian blocks and started building upwards. Not just a single tower, though. Think more like a chunky, hollow column. I built mine about 10 blocks high to start, I wanted some decent fog, after all.
I learned quickly don’t make it too narrow! You need space inside for the magic to happen. I’d say at least 3×3 blocks wide on the inside, maybe even bigger if you’re feeling ambitious. It helps when you are dumping stuff inside later.
The Fog-Making Process
Here’s the core of it. Once I had my obsidian column, I climbed to the top. Then, I started pouring lava down the inside of the column. Just let it flow down the walls.
After the lava, I dumped water down the inside, too. Right on top of the lava. This is where the fog starts happening! You’ll see it billowing out. It’s pretty cool, actually. The water and the lava interacting high up create the fog.

Experiment and Adjust
Honestly, the first time I tried this, it wasn’t perfect. I had to play around with it. I added more lava, then more water. I made the column taller. I even widened it a bit. It’s all about finding the right balance to get the amount of fog you want. It’s a bit of trial and error, so don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t look right immediately. Keep messing with it!
I found that the more lava and water I used, and the higher the column, the thicker and more widespread the fog became. So, keep that in mind. Also when all the lava and water is gone, just repeat the last step and pour more from the top again.
So, there you have it! That’s how I made fog in Infinity Craft. It’s not rocket science, but it takes a little bit of work and some patience. Have fun with it, and don’t be afraid to experiment!
