Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Wuthering Waves lately, and one thing that’s been bugging me is figuring out this whole Concerto Energy thing. I mean, I kinda got it, but not really. So, I decided to buckle down and REALLY understand it. Here’s what I did:
First, I just played. Like, a lot. I fought a bunch of different enemies, tried out different characters, and just generally messed around. I paid attention to that little energy bar, but mostly I was just trying to survive!

Then, I started to notice a pattern. Some attacks seemed to fill up the Concerto Energy bar faster than others. Specifically, using Echo skills— you know, those cool abilities you get from absorbing enemies—seemed to be a big deal.
So, I got a bit more methodical. I picked a character I liked (Jianxin, she’s my girl!) and equipped her with a few different Echoes. I went to a training dummy and started experimenting.
- I tried using just basic attacks. Slow. Really slow to build energy.
- Then I mixed in some heavy attacks. A little better, but still not great.
- Next, I started using the Echo skills. Boom! The energy bar filled up much faster.
I did this with a few different Echoes, and it seemed like some filled the bar faster than others. It wasn’t just about using the Echo skill, it was about which Echo skill I used.
My (Still Imperfect) Understanding
So, here’s my current take: Concerto Energy is basically like building up a special attack meter. The faster you fill it, the sooner you can unleash your Outro Skill, which then boosts the next character you bring in with their Intro Skill. It’s like a tag-team power-up!
Echo skills seem to be the key to charging it quickly. But, and this is important, I think different Echoes have different “charge rates.” Some just seem to fill the bar faster. I haven’t found a definitive list or anything, so I’m still experimenting with different Echoes to see which ones are the best for quickly building Concerto Energy.
It also seems like hitting enemies while the Echo skill is active is important. Like, if the Echo creates a whirlwind or something, making sure that whirlwind is actually hitting stuff makes a difference.

I’m still figuring out the nuances. Like, does enemy type matter? Does the level of the Echo matter? There’s a lot to unpack here. I’m going to keep playing and experimenting, and I’ll update this if I discover anything new. Basically try to do the rotation as efficiently as possible.
For now, my strategy is this: Pick a character, equip them with a few different Echoes, and just practice! Pay attention to how quickly the Concerto Energy bar fills up with each Echo skill, and try to find the ones that work the best. Don’t be afraid to experiment – that’s half the fun!
