Okay, so the other day I was trying to get my game on, you know, customize my hero like I always do. But this time, I got hit with this weird message: “some of your hero customization is unavailable in this instance.” What the heck?
I was like, seriously? I’ve never seen that before. So, first thing I did was restart the game. Figured it might just be a little hiccup, you know? No dice. Same message popped up.
Troubleshooting Time
Alright, time to dig a little deeper. I started thinking, what could be causing this? I went through a couple of ideas in my head:
- Maybe it’s a server issue? Like, maybe their servers were having a bad day.
- Could it be my internet connection? Sometimes my Wi-Fi acts up.
- Or, is it some kind of game mode restriction? Maybe some customizations aren’t allowed in certain modes.
I started with the easiest one. I checked my internet. Seemed fine. I could browse the web, stream videos, no problem. So, it probably wasn’t my Wi-Fi.
Then, I went on to this game’s forum. I figured other people might have had the same problem. And yep, sure enough, there were a few threads about it. Some folks were saying it happened to them in a specific game mode. Others said it was a bug after a recent update.
I found the game mode I was using,and try the customizations.
Bingo! It worked. Turns out, I was trying to play a special event mode, and apparently, some of my usual customizations weren’t allowed in that mode. I switched back to a regular match, and everything was back to normal. I could make my hero look as awesome as I wanted.
So yeah, that was a bit of a head-scratcher at first, but it all worked out. Just goes to show, sometimes the problem isn’t as complicated as you think. Just gotta do a little digging, and you’ll figure it out!
