Alright, so I wanted to get to this Shadowfell entrance in Baldur’s Gate 3, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. First, I had to make my way through the Gauntlet of Shar. That place is no joke, filled with all sorts of trials and puzzles.
I started by exploring every nook and cranny of the Gauntlet. Seriously, leave no stone unturned! I found some hidden rooms and levers that were crucial for progressing. The puzzles, oh man, some of them had me scratching my head for a good while. I remember one with these moving platforms and shadows… took me a few tries to figure out the timing.

Then there were the battles. Those Justiciars? They were tough, but I managed. I used my party’s abilities to my advantage, focusing fire on the most dangerous enemies first. Lots of healing potions were used, I can tell you that much!
The Umbral Gems
The key to getting through the Gauntlet, and ultimately to the Shadowfell entrance, are these Umbral Gems. I have something tips for you:
- Explore, explore, explore: Like I said, check every corner.
- Solve the puzzles: They’re not just there for decoration. Some of them are directly related to getting the gems.
- Fight smart: Don’t just rush into battles. Use your environment, use your skills, and be prepared to heal.
After I finally collected the Umbral Gems,I insert Umbral Gems into the pedestal. Then a platform descend and I took it down.
After all of the trials, all that was left was to enter, and so I did, and I got to the Shadowfell entrance. It was quite the experience!
