Okay, so I was messing around with Anki, trying to get those new cards to show up in a specific order. You know, like, learn the “zzz” cards after I’ve tackled the others. It was driving me nuts!
The Struggle Was Real
First, I went digging through Anki’s settings. I clicked around everywhere, checked boxes, unchecked boxes… nothing seemed to work. The new cards kept popping up randomly. It was like they had a mind of their own!
Then, I tried changing the deck options. I thought maybe there was a secret setting hidden in there. Nope. Still random.
The “Aha!” Moment
I started to get an inkling of an idea so I messed around with Anki’s setting for New Cards. I got it.
- Created a New Deck:For the new cards labeled “zzz” I created a new Deck.
- Moved the “zzz” Cards:I moved all cards that with “zzz” to the newly created subdeck.
- Configured Settings:I set the “New cards/day” option to 9999.
Boom! It worked. The “zzz” cards now show up at the end, just like I wanted. Finally, I can study in peace.
