Okay, so, “big lip” – sounds weird, right? But I saw this thing online about making your lips look bigger, and I thought, why not give it a shot? Nothing crazy, just playing around with makeup, you know?
Getting Started
First, I dug through my makeup bag. It’s a mess, honestly. I found a lip liner that’s, like, a shade or two darker than my natural lip color. I think it’s supposed to be for, like, a “nude” look, but whatever, it works. I also grabbed a lighter, kinda shimmery gloss. The idea is to make the lips look fuller, so dark on the edges, light in the middle – that’s the basic plan.

The Process
- Started by lining my lips. Not exactly on my lip line, though. I went just a tiny bit outside, especially on the bottom lip and the cupid’s bow (that little dip in the top lip). Trying to be subtle, not like a clown or anything. It felt weird, not gonna lie.
- Then I filled in the corners of my mouth with the liner, kinda blending it inwards. This is supposed to create some shadow, make it look like your lips are pouting out more. I kept checking in the mirror, making sure I didn’t look totally ridiculous.
- I have dry lips, to deal with this, I applied some lip balm.
- Next, the gloss. I dabbed that just in the center of my lips, top and bottom. The shimmer is supposed to catch the light and make that part look bigger. I patted it a little with my finger to blend it in, so it wasn’t just a big blob of gloss.
The Result
Okay, so, did it work? Kinda? I mean, my lips definitely looked a little bigger. Not, like, drastically different, but noticeable. I think the key is to be really subtle with the liner. If you go too far outside your natural lip line, it just looks fake. The gloss really helped, too. That shimmery effect definitely added some oomph.
Would I do it again? Maybe for a special occasion or something. It’s not an everyday look for me, but it was fun to try. And hey, I learned a new trick! It’s all about playing around and seeing what works, right?
