Okay, so, the other day I had this kinda silly idea: What if I made all the characters in Genshin Impact, like, totally round? You know, like little balls bouncing around Teyvat. It sounded funny in my head, so I decided to actually try it out.
Getting Started
First, I needed a way to mess with the character models. I’m no game developer, so I had to do some digging. I ended up messing around and checking some different things,it was not so easy. Finally I find something that I could work on.

The Squishing Process
- Choosing My Victim: I started with Amber, ’cause, well, she’s the first character you get, and she seemed like a good sport.
- Into the Blender: Time to squish! The tools I found offer me a way to modify the models,I cranked up the “sphere-ification” – that’s a totally real term, by the way – and watched as Amber gradually became more and more… ball-like.
- Tweaking and Fiddling: It wasn’t perfect at first. Sometimes parts of her outfit would clip in weird ways, or her head would be a tiny bump on a giant sphere. So I spent a good chunk of time adjusting things, making sure she was as round as possible without looking too messed up.
The Results
Honestly, the results were hilarious. Seeing this perfectly round Amber rolling down hills, bouncing off enemies – it was way funnier than I expected. I tried it with a few other characters, too. Klee was extra bouncy, Zhongli looked like a dignified meatball, and Raiden Shogun… well, let’s just say she wasn’t very aerodynamic.
It’s not exactly game-changing, but it was a fun little experiment. I learned a bit about how the character models are put together. And most importantly, I got a good laugh out of seeing my favorite characters turned into adorable, roly-poly balls.
I even recorded some videos of the round characters in action, I think they have some very funny effects.
So, yeah, that’s the story of how I turned Genshin Impact into a game of bouncy balls. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I had a blast!
