Okay, so I’ve been trying to crack the code for the “best” Void Unleashed deck in whatever game we’re talking about, and let me tell you, it’s been a JOURNEY.
The Initial Grind
I started where everyone starts – netdecking! I grabbed a few lists that looked promising, slammed them together, and jumped into some matches. I got absolutely destroyed. Like, not even close. It felt like I was playing a different game.

Back to the Drawing Board
Clearly, something wasn’t working. I realized I needed to understand why these decks were built the way they were, not just copy them blindly. So, I started digging into card interactions, mana curves, and win conditions.
Here’s what i start to testing:
- Testing Card Combos: Some cards looked amazing on their own, but totally whiffed in practice.
- Adjusting the Mana Base: Too much? Too little? Getting the mana right was a HUGE pain.
- Fine-tuning removal
- Sideboard Shenanigans:This is where things got REALLY interesting.
My process
I spent hours tweaking, testing, and tweaking some more.I tried to adding more draw power and make some changes and try it.
The “Aha!” Moment
After countless games, it finally started to click. I found a core set of cards that worked really well together, and I started to see consistent wins. It wasn’t just about jamming the most powerful cards; it was about synergy and having a clear game plan.
The Current Iteration
It’s still a work in progress, but I’m feeling pretty good about it. I’m winning more than I’m losing, and most importantly, it’s FUN to play.
So, that’s my journey so far. It’s been frustrating, rewarding, and everything in between. I’m still learning and experimenting, and I’m sure there’s still room for improvement.
