Okay, so I’ve been trying to get Marshal in my Animal Crossing: New Horizons island for, like, ever. He’s just so darn cute, and his smug little face is everything. I finally decided to buckle down and really try to get him. Here’s how it went down:
The Hunt Begins
First, I made sure I had an open plot. You can’t invite anyone if you don’t have room, right? I kicked out, uh… let’s just say it was someone I wasn’t super attached to. Sorry, not sorry.

Island Hopping Madness
Next, I bought a TON of Nook Miles Tickets. Like, a ridiculous amount. I spent hours grinding for miles. My thumb actually started to hurt. Then came the island hopping. Oh boy.
- Island 1: Nope. Some random bird.
- Island 2: Nope. A hippo.
- Island 3: Still nope. A very enthusiastic frog.
- …and so on… I lost count, honestly. It was a blur of disappointment and brightly colored animals.
I started to lose hope. Was Marshal even real? Was he just a myth, a legend whispered among Animal Crossing players? I almost gave up. Almost.
Amiibo to the Rescue
After what felt like a lifetime, I got smart.I caved and hopped on and ordered a Marshal amiibo card, because ain’t nobody got time to keep using Nook Miles Tickets all day, every day.
Marshal FINALLY Arrives!
After I scanned the amiibo card at the Nook Stop, it allow me invite Marshal to my campsite.
After that, I just talk to him and he is ready to move into my island, it’s amazing!

It was a journey, a saga, a quest of epic proportions. But it was worth it. Marshal is finally home, and my island is complete… for now. 😉
