Alright, so I finally got around to messing with this “honeydw” thing in Destiny 2. I’d heard some chatter about it, mostly people saying it was annoying, but I figured I’d give it a shot. Here’s how it all went down.
Figuring Out What It Even Was
First, I had to actually figure out what the heck this “honeydw” was. I hopped into the game and after some looking, I find out that “Honeydew” isn’t a weapon or item to get. it is a prompt that pops up on the screen, which I think it’s some kind of error?

Dealing With the Problem
So, the main thing to try is a basic restart. I closed Destiny 2 completely, making sure it wasn’t running in the background. Then I just fired it back up. For some people, that’s all it takes. The “honeydw” goes away, and they’re back to shooting aliens.
I was not satisfied with this simple method, so I decided to search on the Internet to see if there was any other way. I found out it maybe is related with cross-platform issue, So I turned it off completely.
Double-Checking Everything
After restart the game, I decided to double-check my account and make sure there weren’t any weird messages or flags on Bungie’s side of things. Everything looked normal there, so it was probably just a temporary network hiccup.
The End Result
After all that, the “honeydw” prompt disappear. It’s gone! I can finally play the game normally. To be honest, it was a bit of a hassle, but hey, it’s fixed now. If it comes back, at least I have a better idea of what to do.
