Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “Calamity Empress Ashe” build, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. Here’s how it all went down:
Started with the Idea
I saw some folks talking about this build online, and it sounded kinda nuts, so I just had to try it. The whole point is to stack ability haste and turn Ashe into a total arrow-spamming machine. Forget auto-attacking, we’re going full mage-Ashe here.

The Setup Grind
First, I needed to actually unlock the build. You know, gotta get the right runes and items. It took a few games, fiddling around with different combinations until I landed on something that felt kinda right. The key things I was hunting for were:
- Manamune: Because you’re gonna be slinging spells like there’s no tomorrow, and you’ll run out of mana fast otherwise.
- Ionian Boots of Lucidity: More ability haste, duh. Gotta get that cooldown reduction going.
- Some other item that gives ability haste:. There are a few options but I forget, just stack ability haste on!
Runes-wise, I went with Comet, Manaflow Band, and Transcendence. It’s all about that extra poke damage and mana sustain.
Gameplay – Prepare for Chaos
Okay, so once I got into a game, things got…interesting. My early game was pretty rough, not gonna lie. I was basically a walking target, super squishy and easy to gank. My support probably hated me. But I just kept farming, trying to get those core items ASAP.
The mid-game is where the fun really begins. Once I had Manamune and those boots, I started to feel the power. My W (Volley) was coming off cooldown so fast, I could just keep poking the enemy team from a mile away. It was hilarious watching them try to dodge, but there were just so many arrows.
I started roaming a bit, helping out other lanes. My ultimate (Enchanted Crystal Arrow) became a global snipe-fest. I’d just fire it across the map and hope for the best. Sometimes I’d get a lucky kill, other times I’d completely miss. It was all part of the charm.
Late Game – Arrow Rain!
By the late game, I was a full-blown arrow-spewing monster. My W cooldown was ridiculously low, and the enemy team just couldn’t handle the constant barrage. It was like a permanent rain of arrows, slowing them down and chipping away at their health. Team fights were basically me standing way in the back, spamming W and occasionally throwing out an ultimate to stun someone important.

It felt awesome, watching the enemy team slowly crumble under the neverending hailstorm. I ended up getting the most damage in the game, which is the target.
My Thoughts After Trying
Honestly, this build is more fun than it is “good,” I think. It’s definitely not the most optimal way to play Ashe, but it’s a blast if you’re looking for something different. It’s super satisfying to just spam abilities and watch the chaos unfold. Just be prepared to get flamed by your teammates in the early game, because you will be weak. But hey, once you get those items, it’s all worth it. I’d recommend giving it a shot if you’re bored and want to try something totally off-meta.
