Alright, so I was messing around in Baldur’s Gate 3 the other day, trying to figure out this whole “add to wares” thing. I’d seen some folks talking about it online, but honestly, it wasn’t clicking. So, I decided to just dive in and see what I could do.
First, I opened up the game, obviously. Loaded up my latest save, found a vendor – any vendor will do, really. Doesn’t matter if they’re selling potions, weapons, or just random junk. I clicked on, talked to them, get to open trade windows.

Then, I started rummaging through my inventory. Now, normally, I’m a bit of a digital hoarder. I pick up everything that isn’t nailed down. But for this, I wanted to be organized. So, I grabbed a bunch of stuff I knew I didn’t need. Old weapons, extra potions I’d never use, that sort of thing.
The Key Part
Instead of just dragging and dropping like I usually do to sell stuff, I right-clicked on each item. That’s when I saw it – the “Add to Wares” option, right there in the menu. I Clicked it. Boom, items added to wares list!
- Open the game and load your save.
- Find a vendor and interact with them.
- Go through your inventory.
- Right-click on items you want to sell.
- Select “Add to Wares”.
I did this for a whole bunch of items. Anything I was willing to part with, I just right-clicked and “Add to Wares”-ed it. It felt a bit like spring cleaning, but for my virtual backpack.
Then I hit trade and then the “wares” option. Sold all with only one click, no more drag and drop, it’s so convenient. Before this I have to sell them one by one, what a waste of time.
Honestly, it was way easier than I thought it would be. No complicated menus, no weird tricks. Just right-click, “Add to Wares,” and you’re good to go. I don’t know why I didn’t try this sooner. It’s a total game-changer for managing inventory, especially if you’re like me and tend to collect everything in sight.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with “Add to Wares” in Baldur’s Gate 3. Hope this helps someone else out there who was as confused as I was!
