Okay, so I’ve been hyped for Apex Legends Season 19, and like everyone else, I jumped straight into reading the patch notes as soon as they dropped. Here’s how I went through them, and what caught my eye.
First, I opened up the official website. Gotta get it straight from the source, you know? No rumors or speculation for me.

Skimming the Headlines
Next, I scrolled through quickly, just getting a feel for the major changes. I wasn’t trying to understand every detail yet, just looking for the big stuff. New Legend? Weapon changes? Map updates? That kind of thing.
- Saw Conduit announced… interesting! A support Legend, huh?
- Noticed some big changes to Storm Point. Definitely going to have to check that out.
- Spotted mention of a “reworked” Charge Rifle. Uh oh… hope they didn’t mess it up too badly.
Diving Deeper into Specifics
After that, I went back and started reading more carefully. I focused on the things that really matter to my gameplay.
Since I mainly play Ranked, I zeroed in on those changes. Always gotta know how the grind is going to be affected. I spent a good chunk of time there, making sure I understood the new rules and point system.
Then, I checked out the Legend changes. I’m a Valkyrie main, so I wanted to see if she got nerfed or buffed (fingers crossed for a buff!). I carefully go through that section.
After the Legends, I moved onto the weapon updates. I am very curious about changes of the Charge Rifle. I go check and try to understand what they really mean for my loadouts.
Putting It All Together
Finally, I took a step back and tried to piece it all together. How will these changes affect the overall meta? What strategies will be strong? What will be weak?

I have some initial thoughts about how to be ready for the new season, but you really can’t know for sure until you jump in and play. I plan to test some new strats with my squad as soon as the update drops. We’ll see how it all shakes out!
All I can say is be prepared for new meta!
