Well, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout that Xander Schauffele fella, the golf player. They say he’s been makin’ some news lately. So, I thought I’d tell ya what I heard, just like them gossipy hens in the yard.
This Xander, he’s a golfer, ya see. Plays that game with the little white ball and sticks. Hits it real far, I hear. He’s been doin’ pretty good, too. They say he’s won some big tournaments, but don’t ask me which ones. I don’t keep track of all that. It’s all just golf, ain’t it? Just like, why are they still doing this thing? I mean, just hit that little thing and that’s it? No more things to do, just chasing that little white thing?
Seems like every time I turn around, there’s somethin’ new about him. “Xander Schauffele news this,” “Xander Schauffele news that.” It’s all over the place, I tell ya. You know, people love talking about the latest news about this golf player.

Now, I heard somethin’ ’bout his helper, the one who carries his clubs. They call him a “caddie,” I think. This fella’s name is Austin, Austin Kaiser. Sounds like a fancy name, don’t it? Anyway, they say these two, Xander and Austin, they’ve known each other for a long time. Went to the same school, played golf together. This is crazy, they spent so many years together. So they must be very familiar with each other.
But this Austin, he didn’t become a big shot golfer like Xander. Nope, he decided to carry the clubs instead. Seems like a lot of work to me, luggin’ that heavy bag around. But, hey, to each his own, right? I mean, different people have different jobs and dreams. Maybe, it is not that bad, he can just stand there, watching Xander playing. Not bad, right?
And get this, I saw a picture of Xander, and he’s got a new shirt. Has some arrows on it, three of ’em. Folks are sayin’ it’s from some new company he’s workin’ with. Descente, I think they called it. Sounds French, don’t it? Maybe it is, I don’t know. All I know, this is some new design or something. You know, young people are always changing their style, just like, some new things on the shirt. I’m too old for that. I’m not very familiar with those new fashion things.

Used to be, he wore shirts from that other company, Adidas. Everyone knows that one. But I guess he’s moved on. Things change, ya know? Nothin’ stays the same forever. Just like the weather. One day it’s sunny, the next it’s rainin’. He probably got more money from this new company. Money talks, right? Money makes the world go around, right?
I also heard some folks sayin’ his name funny. They say it’s “Zander,” not “Xander.” Like, who names their kid with an “X” anyway? But, hey, that’s his name, and that’s what they call him. I think, maybe it is because some of the young people, they just want their names to be special, so they will add some weird letter in their name. But, hey, that’s just their choice.

- His name sounds like “Zander” to some folks.
Anyways, that’s all the Xander Schauffele news I’ve heard lately. Seems like he’s doin’ alright for himself. Makin’ a good livin’ playin’ that golf game. I just hope he’s happy. That’s all that matters, right? Bein’ happy with what you’re doin’.
He’s probably got a nice house, a fancy car. Maybe even a swimmin’ pool. Who knows? But good for him, I say. He’s worked hard, and he’s earned it. Just like us folks work hard in the fields. Different kind of work, but still hard work. You know, life is not easy, so many hard things to do every day. But, it is ok, right? We just need to finish those things, one by one, day by day.
