Okay, so, I’ve been hyped for Furina, like, forever. And with 4.7 coming up, I figured, “It’s now or never!” I mean, pulling for characters in Genshin can be a real rollercoaster, so I wanted to document my experience this time.
First things first, I started saving Primogems like crazy. I skipped a couple of banners, even though some characters looked really tempting. I did my dailies, opened every chest I could find, and even did some of those annoying world quests that I usually avoid. It was a grind, for sure.
Pre-Banner Prep
- Resin Refresh: I wasn’t gonna whale, but I did buy the daily 50-primo refresh a couple of times. Every little bit helps, right?
- Event Grind: Whatever event was running, I did it. More primos, more chances!
- Spiral Abyss: I’m not the best at Abyss, but I pushed myself to get as many stars as possible. Those extra primos are precious.
- Welkin Moon & Battle Pass: These are the most valuable things to buy for low-spenders.
Then came the 4.7 livestream. Seeing Furina’s kit in action…man, I was even MORE excited. It was all I was going to save my pity for her.
The Pulling Session
Banner day arrived, and I was a nervous wreck. I had about, let’s say, a ‘decent’ amount of pulls saved up – enough to hit pity at least once, maybe twice if I got super lucky.
I started pulling. Ten-pull after ten-pull…the usual mix of three-star weapons and the occasional four-star character I already had. My heart was racing. Then…GOLD!
But was it Furina? …Nope, it was Keqing. I like her. I use her sometimes, but I want Furina now!
I kept pulling. More blues, more purples… and then, FINALLY, another gold! This time…YES! It was Furina! I literally jumped out of my chair.
I was so stoked. But, you know, the gacha addiction is real. I decided to push my luck a little further, hoping for maybe one or two constellations… Bad idea. I ended up using all my remaining Primogems and didn’t get any more of her.
The Aftermath
So, yeah, mixed feelings. I got Furina, which is awesome! But I also learned a valuable lesson about gacha restraint. My Primogem stash is completely depleted, and I’m gonna have to start saving all over again for the next character I want.
Was it worth it? For Furina? Absolutely. Would I do it again? Probably…but maybe with a little more self-control next time. Maybe.
