Okay, so I wanted to mess around with this “sketch engaged” thing I’d heard about. I’m not a pro artist or anything, but I figured, why not give it a shot? Here’s how it went down.
Getting Started
First, I needed to figure out what the heck “sketch engaged” even was. To me, it’s really just getting actively involved in drawing, so I grabed my old sketchbook and some pencils and started to draw.
The Actual Sketching
Then, I went to find a spot with nice, even light. No weird shadows to mess things up. I’ve got a desk near a window, so I set up shop there. Then, I just start to draw the thing I can see.
- First attempts:I draw fast, try to get the full shape, it’s a little messy.
- Keep going:I continue to darw, then erase, then draw agian.
- Details are added:I add eyes and shadows, the whole process, and keep trying to add details.
Wrapping Up
After about an hour, I had a sketch I was okay * wasn’t perfect, It’s still a sketch, I need to do more, and that is it.
